Daily sketches

Always in search of the perfect brush for sketching.
Love my white gel pen!

The Golden Paints Lecture. I played and played with the products left out for us to play with. If you love paints and gels and any Golden products, this is a must attend event. I had a great time and really look forward to attending a couple more of these in the future!

journal pages

Playing with color and stickers. I found these heart stickers. Received them in a trade at Artfest I think. Really not my thing, but I thought I'd see what I could do with them. So the hearts started it all. And I love this page!
The start of a couple more journal play pages.

Winter Holiday Journal

Christmas in July. Plan now so you can move slower this December. You'll have a journal filled with ideas for the holidays (events, gift lists, kids activities, photographs) and a completely beautiful and organized Christmas to-do list and memory book. In December you add photos and 15 minutes of journaling a day.

I'm Bored: Journal for Moms

the posts that blogger ate...
Saturday, May 21 10:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.
The go to book to have for moments when your children need a little inspiration for their active play. All those ideas you have seen in magazines, newspapers, blogs, books, and your own childhood will be compiled in this journal. Makes a great gift for a daughter-in-law, grandchildren, best friend, neighbour. Bonus, many of these activities can lead to holiday gifts for family, friends and teachers throughout the year. Sections include: in the car, at the park, backyard and inside.

Washington coast, early spring

I could ride the ferry all day long. The weather was nearly perfect too!

Vacationing with extended family on the Olympic Peninsula. We had a fabulous time.

I did get a little bit of art done too. I'll scan some of the journal pages and include them here soon.
I love photography!

The new Schack Art Center is *gorgeous*, spacious, and *chock*full* of amazing art classes. I was there today for a couple of hours demo'ing several of my paper based classes....collage, journaling, zine making and more. It was a ball!

(Except for the part when I first arrived and was surprised by a leather clad motorcycle dude who I didn't see til he was *right*there*, shouting at me about ticketing and needing to move my car. I got so discombobulated that I accidentally shut the car door. whoop, whoop. and it locked with everything inside -- keys, phone, etc. 20 minutes before I was to haul all my stuff in and demo. Fortunately, I was able to use the internets to find our insurance folks and have a Pop-a-Lock guy show up in time for me to get to my space. On. Time.)

Beautiful weather today.
I love this painting, working on a couple more blooming flowers soon.
